"Obama's image, as constructed during the 2008 election campaign, has finally become not only a sacred object, protected by all sorts of taboos, but the guardians of the temple act as if they consider it the supreme value, the value of values , superior to all interests of historical veracity, the right to information, administrative transparency and constitutional order. No president of the United States or any other nation, no communist or fascist dictator, no king, emperor or pope has ever enjoyed such an inviolable secret. Obama's past is untouchable, unknowable, unfathomable. And he must remain so, at least, until the end of his term. After that, the people's right to know who governs them will have been abolished due to expiry of time.
Clearly, we are facing a unique phenomenon, unprecedented in history, inexplicable without a formidable concentration of power that empties the very notion of “democracy” of any substantive meaning. Obama was elected promising “change”, and in fact he changed a lot: he made the US government an auxiliary force for the Islamic revolution; gave unmistakably socialist touches to the American economy; instituted a systematic boycott of religious organizations; increased state debt more than all previous presidents combined, and instituted the practice of rewarding private mismanagement with public money. But no change was as profound as this: getting people used to the belief that they have no right, nor indeed the slightest need, to know who is in charge of the country."

"A imagem de Obama, tal como construída durante a campanha eleitoral de 2008, tornou-se enfim não somente um objeto sagrado, protegido por toda sorte de tabus, mas os guardiões do templo agem como se a considerassem o valor supremo, o valor dos valores, superior a todos os interesses da veracidade histórica, do direito à informação, da transparência administrativa e da ordem constitucional. Nenhum presidente dos EUA ou de qualquer outra nação, nenhum ditador comunista ou fascista, nenhum rei, imperador ou papa desfrutou jamais de tão inviolável secretude. O passado de Obama é intocável, incognoscível, insondável. E assim deve permanecer, pelo menos, até o fim do seu mandato. Depois disso, o direito do povo saber quem o governa terá sido abolido por decurso de prazo.
Com toda a evidência, estamos diante de um fenômeno único, inédito na História, inexplicável sem uma formidável concentração de poder que esvazia de qualquer sentido substantivo a noção mesma de “democracia”. Obama elegeu-se prometendo “mudança”, e de fato mudou muita coisa: tornou o governo dos EUA uma força auxiliar da revolução islâmica; deu toques inconfundivelmente socialistas à economia americana; instituiu o boicote sistemático às organizações religiosas; aumentou a dívida estatal mais do que todos os presidentes anteriores somados, e instituiu a prática de premiar com dinheiro público a má administração privada. Mas nenhuma mudança foi tão profunda quanto essa: habituar o povo à crença de que não tem o direito, nem aliás a mínima necessidade, de saber quem é o sujeito que manda no país."
